Before you are able to start using your pickleball court from Sport Court, our experts will do the installation so you have nothing to worry about. We can make courts to almost any configuration, but for pickleball we usually build the playing are to the appropriate size. So, what are the dimensions of a standard pickleball court? Let's break it down:
Court Dimensions:
- Playing Area Court Size: A standard pickleball court measures 20 feet wide and 44 feet long for both singles and doubles play.
- Court Lines: The court is divided into different sections by lines, each serving a specific purpose:
- Baseline: These are the lines at each end of the playing area, marking the boundaries of play.
- Sidelines: These lines run parallel to the net, down the width of the playing area.
- Kitchen (or non-volley zone): Inclusive of 7 feet from the net on both sides (for a total of 14 feet), this zone restricts players from volleying the ball out of the air while standing within it.
- Net Height: The pickleball net is hung at a height of 36 inches at the sidelines and 34 inches at the center.
