We can make courts to almost any configuration, but for pickleball we usually build the playing are to the appropriate size. So, what are the dimensions of a standard pickleball court? • Playing Area Court Size: A standard pickleball court measures 20 feet wide and 44 feet long for both singles and doubles play.
• Court Lines: The court is divided into different sections by lines, each serving a specific purpose:
  • Baseline: These are the lines at each end of the playing area, marking the boundaries of play.
  • Sidelines: These lines run parallel to the net, down the width of the playing area.
  • Kitchen (or non-volley zone): Inclusive of 7 feet from the net on both sides (for a total of 14 feet), this zone restricts players from volleying the ball out of the air while standing within it.
  • Net Height: The pickleball net is hung at a height of 36 inches at the sidelines and 34 inches at the center.
